Robert Niznik, MD

Dr. Robert Niznik is a board-certified nephrologist and internist. He completed his internal medicine residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver and pursued his nephrology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

He is passionate about nephrology because it sits at the intersection of complex physiology, critical decision-making, and deeply personal patient care. He is particularly drawn to the challenge of managing electrolyte and volume disorders, where subtle nuances in history, laboratory findings, and physiology can significantly influence outcomes. Dr. Niznik values the opportunity to combine analytical reasoning with compassionate, long-term care—whether treating acute kidney injury, guiding patients with chronic kidney disease, or collaborating with colleagues in the ICU.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, and being a father is the role that keeps him grounded and balanced.
